Previous Concerts

  • Another successful concert. Our ‘Just Mozart’ Concert was much appreciated by the audience on Saturday 25 May and Sunday 26 May. We presented the concert again for The Bay Basin Music Club on 1 June and once again to a very appreciative audience. The main work, which was presented in the second half of the concert, was “Vesperae Solennes de Confessore” with the first half including Opera Choruses, duets, trios a selection of Nocturnes, Ave Verum and Alleluja from Exsultate Jubilate.

  • The Shoalhaven Lydian Singers presented ‘Pastime with Good Company’ and were joined by musical friends ‘Trilogy’ and ‘Trio 42′. The Lydian Singers had great pleasure in presenting music performed throughout time from 20th century musical adaptations of well known rhymes, to JC Bach’s ‘The Magnificat’, to Henry VIII’s 16th century’s composition of the program title. Trilogy sisters Joy, Kathy and Robin Sharpe performed their own pieces with folk and South American themed songs. Trio 42, Vicki McCartney on flute, Jim Dorrington on guitar and Anne Stuart on cello, performed separate pieces from baroque to contemporary.

  • “Joyful, Joyful”, a concert with the Nowra Town Band was a great success. There were rousing numbers played by the band such as Freddie Mercury’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. The choir was accompanied by the band in some numbers from Sisters Act and the concert ended with John Rutter’s ‘Gloria’. It was a great experience for both the band and the choir.
  • “O Fortuna” a concert of fine music featuring: Shoalhaven Lydian Singers, Food of Love, Nowra Anglican College Senior Vocal Ensemble and Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra was performed to full houses both Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

  • “A Bush Christmas” concert was performed to a very appreciative audience both on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. In fact some people enjoyed the program so much on the Saturday night that they came back on Sunday afternoon with a group of their friends
